A Conversation with Kelly:
I’m the Manager of Talent Acquisition at a major financial institution, and Backstretch works alongside my team. We were experiencing capacity constraints internally with the team, so we rely on BackStretch to alleviate and take on some of the requisitions that we currently have.
From my understanding, there’s a shift in the talent market. I think organizations across the board, especially ones that have customer service focused roles that are highly impactful were impacted. There’s been a lot of movement just generally in the market.
We had a lot of movement internally, with a lot of people moving up into different roles, which created gaps. So initially we started working with BackStretch in terms of more group hires and large cohort hiring, and now we’re starting to work with them a little bit more on more specialized roles.
My experience working with the entire team at BackStetch has been really great. We gave them quite a few requisitions they were able to meet the deliverables, and filled them with great candidates. I have had Hiring Managers reach out to me and say they are looking to work with BackStretch because we started a hire with them. The feedback there has been great.
Matt plays an instrumental part in just kind of making sure that we follow those processes through and that they’re kind of uniform, which has made the entire process a lot less clunky for lack of a better word.
It’s been going really strong. Especially with those group hires, we’re really able to meet the deliverables. I’ve been really impressed with the fact that for the most part, we’ve been able to meet the deadline when hiring managers are looking to onboard. And I can say that, from the team’s end of the spectrum, a lot of commitment and being able to meet these deadlines. So, it’s been really good.
They have helped with technical roles as well. For example, strategic insights is a fairly specialized position. The BackStretch team was really instrumental in getting that role filled. We also had a lot of the roles in the IT space and we were able to fill those pretty effectively as well. And so yeah, we have worked with Backstretch in that capacity as well.
I have to say that it does feel the way that BackStretch is like an extension of our team. I’ve never really worked with an agency that’s been willing to hop onto our Teams before; for ease of communication. I just think there’s a lot of ownership from BackStretch in terms of the entire lifecycle of the recruit, which is really nice. Our communication has been really fluid.
