Chief Operating Officer, TenantPay
I have always viewed BackStretch as an extension of my HR department, and really a partner in so far as attracting the best talent to help us grow our business. There’s also the advantage of having BackStretch because they’re able to attract talent that is already gainfully employed, versus attracting talent that is not right. For that reason, we’ve been able to hire some really, really great people who may not necessarily have been looking for work.
Their “do-say” ratio is high. When Matt, or anyone on this team says that they’re going to do something, I know with certainty that it will happen. A key part of hyper-growth is having the right people in the right seats on the bus, and BackStretch has been integral in helping me be successful by having the right people on my team.
They really take the time to understand the business. And then they take the time to go beyond the job description. Matt and his team don't just take the job description and say "Okay, looks good, I'll post it and get back to you". Nor does anybody on his team do that. So there's always the time that BackStretch takes to understand beyond the job description
So for every job description that we agree upon, we always take the opportunity to have a discussion about what we’re really trying to do from a talent perspective to fill that role. It’s also important for them to understand the type of leader that the individual would be reporting to. BackStretch takes an interest in understanding the company’s culture, so that culture can be aligned with the individuals that we’re trying to attract to the role.
I want to work with people that I genuinely enjoy working with, and Matt and his team have always checked that box. And finally, it's been cost advantageous to work with BackStretch versus hiring a full-time recruiter.
